SEPULTURA's Igor Cavalera laid down the drum tracks to three songs during the first day of recording (Sunday, Jan. 12) for the group's upcoming full-length album at AR Studios in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. View the band's progress in the studio via two studio webcams at this location.
The as-yet-untitled follow-up to last year's "Nation" is being produced by Steve Evetts (SNAPCASE, EARTH CRISIS), and is tentatively scheduled to surface in late spring/early summer through SPV/Steamhammer Records in Europe, JVC Records in Japan, and FNM/Universal Records in Brazil. The group are still negotiating a North American deal following their split with Roadrunner Records earlier in the year.
SEPULTURA have just released a covers-only EP, titled "Revolusongs", in Brazil and have shot a video for their rendition of U2's "Bullet The Blue Sky" — one of the cover tracks included on the CD. "Revolusongs" is tentatively scheduled to receive a European release through SPV/Steamhammer in February/March.
