Alice Cooper Set To Release Dragontown Oct 9th
New York, NY - Alice Cooper is back with his new CD, Dragontown to be
released on Spitfire Records, October 9th, 2001.
Dragontown is the third chapter in the trilogy he began with The Last
Temptation back in 1994. The story continued with last year's critically
acclaimed CD, Brutal Planet (Spitfire) in which Alice vents his fury on a
world pre-occupied with sex, death and greed. As narrator of this latest
installment, the legendary artist conveys his anger and outright disgust
throughout an album that is both hard-hitting and thought provoking.
This latest offering was produced, arranged and mixed by Bob Marlette with
Bob Ezrin as executive producer, the same team who recorded Brutal Planet
with Alice last year. Ezrin is renowned for such classic Cooper hits as
"School's Out", "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "I'm Eighteen". Dragontown is an
honest and often shocking look inside the mind of an artist that has
influenced the likes of KISS, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Motley Crue, Guns N
Roses and Slipknot to name a few.
In support of Dragontown, Alice will take his dynamic show, (complete with
the famous guillotine) on the road late September. Fans can get a preview of
Dragontown by downloading the MP3, "Triggerman" at www.SpitfireRecords.com
August 21st.
